Best accessories for surfing in Scotland  ! Hi everyone ! Welcome back to another Empty Peaks Surf Blog ! It's beginning to get to that time of year where the evenings start getting darker and the sea starts getting colder. I surfed yesterday in a beautiful little long boarding session, and while it was great fun, I started to notice how cold it's getting both in the water and in the air. By the end of the session I was shivering in the water and figured it was time to get out ! In my last post , I chatted about my recent trip to Cornwall and the differences between surfing in competitions and free surfing, so be sure to give that a read ! Todays post is inspired by my latest surf trip on the east coast of Scotland. Surfing in Scotland can be tricky sometimes, in this particular trip we spend the day trying to find a good spot in a big but messy swell. There were definitely surfable waves around however Scotland's quickly changing tides and cold weather made us work hard to get the few waves we got. With hectic paddle outs, clean up sets and funny locals, this particular session was something all Scottish surfers know all to well.  While the trip wasn't the most fruitful, it's made me think about the unique things us Scottish surfers see, hear and experience on a regular bas
